New Years is a time for celebration and being with friends. It is also one time that you can get away with having a beautiful dramatic look!  for this year, try a dramatic smokey eye to make your eyes pop and become the center of attention! smokey eyes brighten up your eyes and makes them appear larger than what they really are. Here are some ideas..
You can do a smokey eye with pretty much any color! For New Years Eve, I suggest doing a classic black or brown. For the adventurous, I would try a purple or green smokey eye to compliment your outfit. New Years is about taking chances and ending the year with a BANG! so go out and be adventurous! do something you have never done before! xoxo

So 2014 is approaching and you are looking for the perfect outfit to ring in the new year! this year trends lends towards sparkles, elegant silhouettes, and color!

The classic 'little black dress' never goes out of style! but update it with a Lacey texture and a belt to bring the outfit together.

Gold and Silver dresses are perfect for ringing in the new years!  they scream party and that you are ready to have some fun! (but of course add some sparkles!) this will make you the center of attention at your get together.
For shoes, add a red or classic black stiletto or pump! the red will give you that pop of color, and the classic black heel with never let you down!

The new year only comes once a year, so this year make it the best that it can be! Wear something that fits your style and makes you the center of attention!

So the latest trend that has made its way on runways, magazine covers, pinterest, and makeup enthusiasts is the one and only cat eye. This, not so new, makeup technique is called the “cat eye” because it lengthens and brightens your eyes to make them appear larger. This technique started in the 1950s with famous pin up girls and models/actresses such as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Just like anything in fashion, trends come back into style and everyone starts doing it.

What I really like about this trend is that it is very classy, modern and elegant. You don’t have to go to extremes with this trend, that most magazines do, but you can take it and make it your own. This technique is great for someone who has smaller eyes and wants to make their eyes appear to be larger than what they natural are. It is also good for that adventurous person that loves to try new things and who is not scared of a little change.

There are different variations of this trend, the bottom eye variation, the very think lined option and the subtle girly flared winged version, but the idea is to figure out what makes you feel most comfortable. You don’t want to walk into a party feeling self-conscious because you think your eye liner is too thick. The trick is getting the perfect line weight that is comparable to the shape of your eyes. This can be achieved with finding the right eyeliner to fit the style that you are looking for.
How do you perfect this technique? Practice makes perfect I always say. It is not easy getting this technique down on the first try. If you mess up, try again! But the end result is something you will get complimented on and have everyone coming up to you asking, “How did you do that?”

If you want to do something different and you love vintage looks, I would try this trend. It will make you stand out in the crowd and add a little pizzazz to your ensemble. Great makeup is a key to confidence and it will create the finish look to your Holiday attire.

To Get the Look:
Take the liner of your choice and make a soft line on your eyelid. From the corner of your eye, gradually draw a thin line away from your eye in an upward motion (this will start creating the “cat eye” look.) By doing this you can start making the line as thick or thin as you want it.

For a more dramatic and creative look, make the line thicker on your eye lid and gradually start making that line going away from your eye to make a triangular shape (this will also create a smokey eye effect.)

But while doing this look, always think that sometimes “less” is more. If your attire is more edgy, then go with the more dramatic look. But if you outfit is simple and elegant, I would go with a simple cat eye to give you a more natural, beautiful look that balances everything

So let me start out to say that I have an obsession with buns! I pretty much where my hair in a bun everyday because it is the easiest route to go..AKA.. I am lazy. Yesterday, I wanted to find a different type of bun because I am getting tired of the typical "sock bun" look. So I put my hair in a pony and I went for it! I love the messy look of my creation. It is casual and it says to people "I'm not trying to hard." You can have a lazy day and still look cute! even if your hair is all messy and tasseled!

To Get This Look:
All I did was put my hair in a hight pony tail, flipped my head over and teased the outside of my pony tail and started twisting it around the hair band until I got the desired bun! then pin down the ends until secured and SPRAY SPRAY SPRAY!

Items You Need To Get:
- Hair bow
-Hair Spray
-Teasing Comb

It's crazy to think that it is almost that time to start pulling out or getting that new winter coat! Here are some of the latest trends for the Winter 2014 season!
1- Half-leather and Half -wool. This is the latest trend to hit big time! you can see it in leggings, skirts, and of course jackets! This trend is nice for someone that does not want to wear all leather and is good for the person that likes to add a little bit of "edge" to their outfit.
2- The "boyfriend" coat. I call it that because it is a take on old "gentlemen's" coats. They are big, long, and slouchy. This trend is good for someone that is taller and that likes their coat to stay opened. Pair this with a skirt/dress to show off the outfit!
3- The military jacket. This is one trend that really never goes out of style! each year there different variations and it only gets better!
XOXOXOXOXOX

Wearing red lips is like my go-to staple. I think it is glamours and brings an outfit that extra flair!  but a lot of people tell me that they can not wear red lip stick. I think this is wrong.. almost any can wear red lip stick. It is just how you wear it and the color! I always go for the deepest red and sometimes the red with a hint of pink in it. The thing is, when you wear red lipstick, you can not wear crazy eye makeup. I always stick with the natural palette of browns and golds. It is all about finding your color and what works best for you!!  XOXO

Here are 5 tips to help style your body and figure out what and what not to wear!! xoxo

1. Styling is all about wearing clothes to balance out your frame and help create the enviable hourglass silhouette, because this is the shape most manufacturers use as their blueprint for their designs.

2. Hourglass ladies should look out for structured jackets - they will give your shoulders more definition, pull you in at the waist and skim your hips.

3. A waist-cinching belt will work wonders to help define the waist - ideal for apple, slender and boyish (athletic) shapes.

4.Wearing matching coloured tights and shoes will elongate your legs, making you look taller and slimmer.

5. Petite girls should look for ways to lengthen your limbs - try tucking a caridgan or shirt in to high-waisted trousers to elongate your frame.

I feel like when people pick out foundations, that they do it all wrong. Sometimes it is to dark or to light on their face. This becomes complicated, especially in summer and winter seasons. During that time our face gets darker, due to the UVB Rays, and lighter because we are not getting that much sun on our face. I usually have a foundation for winter and summer, but most people don't want to go that route. The best way to get away from having mixed matched skin tones is finding the color closest to your skin tone. Then lightly DAB the liquid on your face with a sponge, or I suggest a foundation brush. YOU DO NOT WANT TO CAKE IT ON. Even if the foundation is too light for your skin, by putting a little amount on your face it will blend in and give you the coverage that you want. REMEMBER: less is always more!

Okay, so I know what you guys are thinking... THIS GIRL IS CRAZY!  vaseline?excuse me?  here it is, vaseline is probably one of my favorite things around for my lips!  Not only is it soft, but it makes your lips smooth for hours! I have extremely dry lips, especially in the fall and winter, so I put it on before I go to bed. It takes all the dryness away and makes my lips baby smooth. It also makes lipstick come on smooth and even helps it stay on longer (ALSO MAKES THEM SHINEY WITHOUT LIPGLOSS!) This is one thing that I always have in my purse and school bag that I can NEVER go without. I highly recommend giving this little oddity a try!
